All the reasons you need a good night's sleep

There’s a lot of trendy stuff going around these days about sleep cycles, polyphasic sleep schedules, naps, and the go-to “at least eight hours” rule. I’m no scientist, but I do partake in unhealthy amounts of insanely-detailed research about this stuff. Even in 2014, the research still says the same thing: if you’re not getting 7-9 hours of sleep a night, you’ll pay.
